Onimusha: Way of the Sword — Monster Hunter Rise Collab Outfits (Free DLC)

The Monster Hunter Rise collaboration adds two free cosmetic outfits to Onimusha: Way of the Sword: Hinoa for the Oni Lady and Yomogi’s Dance for Okuni. The listings went live on Steam on September 6, 2026, and Capcom announced the collaboration on its official channels the next day. Both outfits are free, appearance-only, and claimed entirely in-game at a Spirit Mirror.

What is in the Monster Hunter Rise collab?

The collaboration consists of exactly two costume DLC items, each themed on a Monster Hunter Rise character and given to a Way of the Sword character:

The two recipients come from different corners of the cast: the Oni Lady is the female Oni housed in Musashi’s gauntlet, while Okuni is the kabuki dancer whose story chapter (chapter 17, Okuni’s Kabuki Dance) sits late in the 22-chapter campaign — see the chapter list.

How do you claim the collab outfits?

Capcom’s official notes describe a three-step flow — store, claim, equip:

1. Download the DLC from your platform’s digital store. Both outfits are distributed as free DLC on each digital store; on Steam each outfit is its own free listing.
2. Claim the outfit in-game at a Spirit Mirror. The official note reads “The outfit can be claimed in-game via the Spirit Mirror.” The base game (sold separately) is required. 3. Equip it with Change Appearance. Per the official notes: “You can change outfits by selecting Change Appearance from the Spirit Mirror menu in-game.”

Do the collab outfits change gameplay?

No. The official notes state: “Outfits are cosmetic items that change the appearance of the character. They do not alter the character’s performance in battle.” No stats, no combat effects — pure appearance. Who are Hinoa and Yomogi?

Hinoa the Quest Maiden and Yomogi the Chef are characters from Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom’s hunting action game — both names and roles come directly from the official outfit descriptions quoted above. The dango and Village Quest jokes in those descriptions are Capcom’s own flavor text, riffing on the characters’ roles in that game.

Is there any other free DLC or collab content?

Two more items round out the early post-launch freebies:
